BIS will ask for product samples. Send these to a BIS-approved lab in India for testing.
For ISI schemes, lab tests are followed by a factory inspection. For CRS, only lab testing is needed.
Once tests and inspections are complete, BIS will verify your application. If everything is fine, the certificate is granted.
Both can be renewed by filing an online renewal request before expiry.
