Step 1: Application on DGFT Portal. You must first log into the DGFT website using your valid IEC. This is the only place to apply. You cannot apply directly on the FIEO website first

Step 2: Select FIEO as Primary EPC. Under the RCMC application section, you must clearly select FIEO as your main Export Promotion Council. Since you are in the Western region the system will automatically direct your application to the FIEO Mumbai office for processing

Step 3: Membership Category Selection. You must choose the right membership type. FIEO has two main types:

• Ordinary Member: For exporters whose annual export turnover is ₹15 lakh or more
• Associate Member: For exporters whose annual turnover is below ₹15 lakh or for new exporters. This is where most people start 

Step 4: Fee Payment. The system will calculate the required Entrance Fee and Annual Subscription Fee based on your chosen membership category and turnover

Step 5: Document Upload and Submission. Upload all the required documents. You must ensure they match the details in the online form exactly. After paying and uploading, you submit the application electronically

Step 6: FIEO Verification. The FIEO Mumbai office receives your application. They verify all documents. They check your CA certificate and bank details carefully. If they find any error they will raise an inquiry

Step 7: Certificate Issuance. Once everything is approved FIEO issues the RCMC. You can download the digital certificate from the DGFT portal
