Introduction of GACC
General Administration of Customs of China, or GACC Registration is a necessary procedure for companies and individuals planning to export commodities to China. Exporters who want to sell their products in the Chinese market and producers from outside China who want to sell their food items must register with the GACC. These are two distinct procedures that fall under the purview of the People's Republic of China's General Administration of Chinese Customs (GACC). Following the 2018 restructuring, the AQSIQ was no longer in charge of overseeing the food safety evidence for imported and exported food, and the GACC assumed control of animal import and export inspection and quarantine.
